Getting a toy for a 10-year-old can be trickier than you’d think. At that age, it’s important to be aware that they're going through the transition from being a youngster to a preteen. Some 10 year olds are content to be a kid for a while longer. Meanwhile, other 10 year olds are more interested in tech, instead of toys.
Rapidly shifting tastes also get in the way of finding cool toys for 10 year olds. Fortunately, science experiments or tech are almost always a safe gift, regardless of how grown up they may seem.
